Handmade Bridal Shower Invitations Can Reflect the Showers Theme

Handmade Bridal Shower Invitations Can Reflect the Showers Theme
Handmade Bridal Shower Invitations serve a practical purpose, and you can make gorgeous invitations that reflect the bridal showers theme if you have the time and a bit of creativity. Youll impress the guests and heighten the sense of anticipation as they look forward to your party.

For any theme party, stick to the central idea and use it to design a simple but creative invitation. For a kitchen theme, for instance, you can cut out various shapes such as measuring cups, toasters, etc. A cute idea might be a toaster, with a slice of toast in a contrasting shade of construction paper popped into a slit. When they pull the toast out, all the information is written on it.

What about a beauty or spa theme? Just cut out invitations in the shape of hand mirrors and write the information on one side, then put aluminum foil on the other side for the mirrors surface. Or fan-shaped invitations of folded paper for a touch of the orient are nice, too.

A lingerie partys invitations can be written on invitations cut out in the shape of little bras or panties. If you really want to be festive, glue a bit of lace trim on each of the invitations to dress them up. Bridal shower invitations dont have to be boring!

If you are having a dressy or formal shower, use heavy stock paper from a stationary shop and print out your handmade invitations on your PC. Todays printing software packages include dozens of lovely fonts that you can coordinate for everything from place cards to the bridal shower invitations themselves.

After printing them out, place a sheet of sheer vellum (available at craft stores) over the top and cut to the same size. Punch two holes at the top and thread coordinating ribbon through, then tie in a bow. These are elegant and simple to make. You can choose ink and ribbon in colors to match your dcor or the wedding party.

A personal touch is always nice on an invitation, so dont forget to add a little something when youre ready to mail them out. For formal invitations, scatter just a bit glitter in silver or gold inside to match the trim. If you have a floral theme, find flower-shaped confetti and toss some in each envelope. Or if youre having a luau, tuck a single silk bloom into each one. Its the little touches that make them special!
