A Career in Senior Photography

We see high school seniors all over, in Magazines, on Billboards , in High School football advertisements and on television. They are the kids of the future showing their grammar skills and extra ordinary math abilities. We are talking about the seniors of today, yesterday and next year. They are every place we look, but who brings them to us? Their photos are captured with photographic skills and precision, patience and that creative look for style, superb color and lighting composition. I am speaking about photographers who specialize in senior photography.

Here are some tips for the amateur and dreamer of dreams in getting started in senior portrait photography. Observe your subject very closely. You will never know enough. Read and look at any fashion Magazine available in stores. There are great books with articles and photos on portrait photography and senior photography available. Amazon.com has a wide array of photography books available.

High school seniors of today really want something different for their senior portraits as well as their yearbook pictures. They no longer want plain and boring blue or gray backgrounds. Many seniors prefer going for outdoor portraits. They get the feeling of being free in the great outdoors and a sense of peacefulness comes over them for some reason. Don’t cut your search short and hire the first photographer you come across. Look at several photography studios in San Antonio and choose your senior photographer based on their creative skills and uniqueness and not their prices as price means nothing if you don’t get the quality of photographs you were hoping for.
